Unhappy Sexual harassment or harassment Louisiana

I am/was an hourly manager at a corporate restaurant. In august we got a new gm. The first week he was there he began pinching me on my under arms leaving really bad bruises. After the first few times of him doing this I never thought that it would continue to happen. Well it continued to happen and I began telling him to stop putting his hands on me and pinching me. There were also a few occasions when immediately after he pinched me it bruised. I would show him the bruises and he would pinch me again and say things like, "oh yea, what you gonna do go run in the office and cry about it?" Well I finally started taking pictures of everything and I had 9 different bruises in a 9 day period by this man. The harassment just got worse. I would also work 1 or 2 days of another position and he would pick at me during my shift. To the point that he was standing over the counter while i was leaning down to get away from him and he would say "everybody look at her, I am picking on her, everyone look over here" . I finally went to the H-R manager and she told me she would do an investigation and call me. The next day she told me that she "counseled" him and that her and higher management believe that this behavior would not happen anymore. I told her that I don't feel comfortable working with him because I knew that he would know who went to corporate on him and that a transfer is needed. Well she gave me a transfer to another store. I was put out of work for 1 full week without pay while I was waiting for my transfer to go through. Then I start at the other location and I go from an hourly manager making $12 an hour to a server making $2 an hour plus tips. Either way I look at it I think that I am being punished! What can I do?[/font]

You went to HR & they indicated they talked to the employee & that they did not believe the behavior would continue. That is all they are required to do - see that the behavior stops. If it would have continued, you would have had further recourse.

Since you asked for the transfer, I don't see where your employer did anything wrong/illegal. All you need to make is $2.13 an hr + tips equalling min. wage. Sorry.
